Charles Edward Clements

Charles Edward Clements, Sr., 84, passed away September 16, 2026, in Evansville,

IN. Born April 4, 1942, to James Clements and Marie Deborah Clements (Hatchett) in Henderson, KY, he spent his formative years in Evansville where he played on the Lincoln High School Championship Boys Basketball Team.

When he married the love of his life, Judy Johnson, he found a good thing, and the magic they would make endured for 65 years. Charles accepted Christ at a young age and shared his faith often with many who had the heart and spirit to hear. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Todd Robertson. As a man of GOD, he devoted his life to raising five boys into great men and a daughter into an amazing woman. His children are a testament to his life and legacy in honor to GOD!

Charles had a deep love for people, cars, wrestling, gardening, and his family. He devoted more than 30 years to Whirlpool Corporation while serving as the patriarch of his family. A man of few words, he showed his love through his actions to all who were blessed to know him. His treasured life will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his son, Charlie Clements, Jr.; his brother, Garfield Clements; and sister, Katie Jackson.

He is survived his devoted wife, Judy Clements and their 5 children, Jerry Clements (Sharon) of Oklahoma City, OK , Stephen Clements (Dawn), James Clements (Tika), both of Evansville, IN, Terry Clements of Louisville, KY, and Deborah Morgan (Alvin) of Indianapolis, IN.; two sisters, Delores Benaugh and Carolyn Castro (Juan) of Los Angeles, CA; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family that continue to experience the blessings from the life of this great man!
